About Us
After completing a five year apprenticeship whilst working for a local firm Duncan Betts qualified and became a gas engineer,working in the gas industry from the fitting of new boilers to general plumbing and central heating designs for a further 4 years. After this spell a move to British Gas was made.
As a service engineer for British Gas, servicing and repair work was carried out and product knowledge began to increase.
Being sent on many training courses whilst at British Gas covering the break down and electrical safety of installations and boilers I was asked to work in the capital as a technical break down engineer. This saw me deal with a large number of problematic installation problems and general boiler brake downs
After a 3 year spell in London I returned to work for British gas in the Southwell area and realised my goal was to work for myself so became Corgi Registered
The setting up of Newark Gas Services was undertaken with all the core values I had gained over the yearsbut without the missing elements I had encountered. I have had great pleasure in setting up this business and aim to give the very best in service and value.
